the fatburner. ultimately, this is our favourite smoothie that we've been making for years and years ever since we had it at a smoothie shop just outside our hotel in são paulo. and drinking it always is a little journey that takes us straight back to brazil. it's like a walk on the beach. for us, this is summer.
pineapple, lime, lot's of ginger (poowww! ka-zzing!), a little honey and ice - that's it and it's enough to really boost the metabolism and get you going on a beautiful summer day like this. it's just the perfect breakfast as it's so refreshing and energizing. oh, and ready in 5!
recipe for 2 glasses:
- 250g ripe pineapple
- a walnut-sized knob of ginger, peeled and finely chopped
- juice of one lime
- 1 tbsp honey
- 10 ice cubes
- place all ingredients in a good mixer and mix it, baby, until not the littlest of chunks is left. with a more inefficient mixer we recommend grating the ginger beforehand
- split between two glasses and enjoy immediately or fill into a bottle for energy on the go!
